Cosmetics – a group of products designed to care for, cleanse, protect and beautify the body. According to the Act of 30 March 2001 on Cosmetics, a cosmetic is any substance intended for external contact with the human body: skin, hair, lips, nails, external genitals, teeth and mucous membranes of the oral cavity, the sole or main purpose of which is to keep them clean, care for, protect, perfume or beautify.

Many cosmetics belong to several of these groups at the same time – for example, soap can simultaneously clean and moisturise (i.e. care for) your skin.
This type of product includes preparations whose main task is to maintain cleanliness. Cleaners usually contain detergents, solvents or powders that remove undesirable substances from the human body. These include
- bath powders and fluids
- intimate hygiene fluids
- cosmetic gels
- Cosmetic milk.
- Cosmetic masks
- nail polishers
Nursing and protective equipment. These agents serve primarily to maintain the surface of certain parts of the body in the best possible natural condition. Some of the treatments are also of a therapeutic nature. These include creams, lotions, oils, foams, lipsticks and many more.
Cosmetic box users’ dreams
Cosmetics are regulated by the Act of 30 March 2001 on Cosmetics (Journal of Laws of 2001, No. 42, item 473). 24.3.2009 The European Parliament has adopted a regulation whose main objective is to improve the safety of cosmetics by establishing clear conditions for companies to comply with when assessing product safety and protecting consumer health. This regulation does not alter the existing provisions concerning the ban on animal testing of cosmetics.
